The Legacy of the Obama and Biden Years revealed
During her trip, Tulsi Gabbard met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, accused of being a brutal dictator, cracking down on freedom and torturing political opponents. Accused but no convincing evidence.
“Initially I hadn’t planned on meeting him,” she said about Assad. “Whatever you believe about President Assad, the fact is that he is the President of Syria. In order for any possibility of a viable peace agreement to occur, there has to be a conversation with him.”
Gabbard then began broadcasting Obama’s dirty secrets live on CNN, likely confusing and angering their Obama-loving audience.
“I’ll tell you what I heard from the Syrian people,” she said. “As they were walking down the streets in Aleppo, in Damascus… they expressed happiness and joy at seeing an American walking through their streets. But they expressed a question. They said: ‘Why is it that the United States, its allies and other countries, are providing support, are providing arms, to terrorist groups, like al-Nusra, al-Qeeda, ISIS, who are on the ground there, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing the Syrian people?’ Children, men, women, people of all ages.”
“They asked me: Why are the United States and its allies supporting these terrorist groups who are destroying Syria when it was al-Qaeda who attacked the United States on 9/11, not Syria?” Gabbard continued.
“I didn’t have an answer for them,” she added.
Luckily, President Trump put an end to Obama’s funding of so-called rebel groups. In 2017, Reuters reported: “The Trump administration has decided to halt the CIA’s covert program to equip and train certain rebel groups fighting the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, two U.S. officials said.”
Responding to Gabbard’s statement, Jake Tapper tried desperately to cover for his pal Obama, stating: “Obviously, the United States Government denies providing any help to the terrorist groups you’re talking about. They say they provide help for the rebel groups.”
Gabbard replied by pointing out that no one actually knows who the so-called “rebel groups” that the Obama White House was supporting were.
“Every place that I went, every person that I spoke to, I asked this question to them, and without hesitation, they said there are no moderate rebels. Who are these moderate rebels that people keep speaking of?” she asked.
“The Syrian people recognize, and they know, that if President Assad is overthrown, a group like ISIS or al-Qaeda… will take charge of all of Syria,” Gabbard concluded.
If that happens God help the people of Syria. We’ve seen what the genocidal tendencies of these extremist fanatics can do to innocent men, women and children.
